Travel Soccer

Due to the excessive number of rainouts we have needed to reschedule, along with school conflicts that currently exist, we are updating the evaluation schedule for the 2026–2027 OFSA Travel Soccer season.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we work through a very busy spring schedule. At this time, Saturday, June 6, 2026 will be the primary evaluation date, with Sunday, June 7, 2026 serving as the rain date.

As many families know, U.S. Soccer has updated the way age groups can be formed. For the 2026–2027 season, teams are being organized using an August 1 through July 31 seasonal-year cycle rather than the old calendar-year method. The chart below shows which birthdates fall into each age group.

At this time, we are only accepting players entering 2nd grade, with birth years as young as 2019. Our goal is to keep grade levels together as much as possible. If a player’s birthdate falls outside of the birthdate range typically associated with their grade, they should attend the evaluation session that corresponds with their birthdate-based age group.

Interested players are required to attend their age-group evaluation session to be considered for travel soccer. Evaluations will be held at Schady Soccer Complex.

Updated Evaluation Schedule – Saturday, June 6, 2026

2nd–4th Grade (U8–U10) Boys and Girls: 2:00–3:30 PM
5th–6th Grade (U11–U12) Boys and Girls: 3:45–5:15 PM
7th–8th Grade (U13 and up) Boys and Girls: 5:30–7:00 PM

Goalie Evaluation: 5:00–5:30 PM
All players in 5th through 8th grade who would also like to be evaluated as a goalie should attend this session.

Rain Date: Sunday, June 7, 2026

Please arrive 20 minutes early to check in, receive your number, and warm up. Players should bring an age-appropriate ball and wear cleats and shin guards. All returning players should wear their training jersey.

Players will be evaluated on:

Control of the ball while dribbling
Accuracy, strength, and distance of passing and trapping
Shooting skills
Athleticism
Goal kicks
Saves
Current players will also be evaluated during team practices. Travel directors and other evaluators will continue attending practices in advance of evaluations as well.
